With the arrival of spring, days grow longer and temperatures rise. But spring in Alaska is short. Animals have two months to feed, and start a family, while avoiding predators. Spring is also the time that millions of birds return to Alaska.
O pořadu
Aljaška je hranicí Ameriky a jedním z posledních skutečně divokých regionů světa. Najdeme tady polovinu světových ledovců, nejvyšší americké pohoří i polární čepičky, které sahají až k severnímu pólu. Je to bohatý a pestrý, ale také nebezpečný svět. Čtyřdílná přírodovědná mini série zachycuje čtvero ročních období v životě medvědů grizzly, orlů bělohlavých, bobrů a lišek polárních. Pokud chtějí tato zvířata přežít na mrazivém severu, každé z nich musí být odolné a přizpůsobivé. Jejich životy z bezprostřední blízkosti zachytil malý, ale šikovný tým kameramanů. Díky nejmodernější technice nahlédneme přímo do jinak zapovězených nor i hnízd.
